A Day Of Firsts

The act of taking the first step is what separates the winners from the losers.

Gold medals are nice, but winning doesn’t always mean we have to come first place. Sometimes winning means we have managed to step out of our comfort zone, that we have pushed ourselves to our limits, that we have had the strength of character to face down our nerves and do the thing that we are afraid to do – to take that first step into the unknown.

It’s never easy to take the first step into new territory and try things you’ve never tried before, but when you do have the courage to take that step, it can open up a whole new world of experience that you can learn and grow from.

Some of our teams first experiences recently included:

  • First competition of the year
  • First time competing for some students
  • First ever KFC for Andy
  • First ever double ice-cream dessert for me

Whilst we may have had many firsts so far, we know we have many more experiences yet to come.
